This is a dating app and there's only space for peace and love here. On registration, you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct. If you’re unsure whether or not to post something, hopefully the below will help.
Qemistry will remove any user found to breach these rules, and you will not be allowed back on the app.
Respect other peoples’ point of view
We champion all different points of view, and ask that you’re respectful to users with differing opinions to your own.
Never post upsetting, provoking or offensive content
You should not post content that is offensive, insensitive, upsetting, intended to disgust, in exceptionally poor taste, or just plain creepy. We will suspend anyone posting content or behaving in a way we believe is over the line.
Examples include defamatory, discriminatory, or mean-spirited content, including references or commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, veteran status, any other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalisation, national/ethnic origin, or other targeted groups, particularly if the content is likely to humiliate, intimidate, or harm a targeted individual or group.
No rude or abusive behaviour
We have absolutely zero tolerance towards bullying, harassment and abusive behaviour. Don’t do it.
No use of augmented reality filters
Our whole purpose for being is to find our members people they truly vibe online, so they can have something meaningful offline. Qemistry helps members date people they are attracted to on multiple levels so show who you really are.
Don’t post overly sexual content, after all, this is an app about personality
That includes photos of you in your underwear, or wearing swim wear in locations where you wouldn’t normally be wearing swimwear.
Avoiding overtly sexual or pornographic material (defined by Webster’s Dictionary as "explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings") isn’t just for the sake of your fellow users. Shirtless mirror selfies are some of the most disliked profile photos on dating apps.
Don’t post videos of children
This isn’t an app for kids. Don’t post videos of children, unless they’re your children, and you’re the main feature of the video. We’re just looking out for them.
We get that you’re proud of your kids, and you should be, they’re amazing - but this is about you. You’re the main event.
Never post videos showing illegal activity, violence, weapons or firearms
Depictions of illegal drugs, or illegal or reckless use of weapons and dangerous objects, or posts facilitating the purchase of firearms or ammunition will be removed immediately, and in appropriate cases, authorities will be alerted.
No content that depicts or facilitates gratuitous violence, self-harm or other dangerous activities will be tolerated.
Content must not encourage consumption of tobacco and vape products, marujana (regardless of legality), illegal drugs, or excessive amounts of alcohol.
Only post content you have the right to post
We are as big a fan of singing the entire Beyoncé back catalogue as you are. Lip synching is a seriously underappreciated art form, however, uploading someone else’s content directly and passing it off as your own isn’t okay.
Make sure you have the rights to post any music you use. If the main purpose of your post is to share music you’re not licenced to share, you shouldn’t be posting it. Much like avoiding pics of kids, your profile is all about you.
Challenges are okay, so long as they don’t risk physical harm to you or to others.
Never record other peoples’ content
Don’t screenshot, screencast or audio record anyone else’s profile or content.
Report any potentially offensive content immediately
Help us keep our community safe. If you see potentially offensive content err on the side of caution, and report it immediately. It may not be upsetting to you, but you might spare another from emotional distress. Be a bro.
Qemistry reserves the right to remove any user found to breach these rules, and to block future profiles. In severe cases we may alert relevant authorities.
